with the cold weather comes baking. at least in my world. so tonight, whether he liked it or not, i made ian participate in the planning of my baking extravaganza. he only benefits, so i'm gonna guess complaints will be minimal.
the list includes:
banana muffins (cause i can TOTALLY bring them to work easily and they defrost nicely)
apple pie-sooooo perfect for fall
gingersnap cookies-yay!
i think this will take place on friday. perhaps in combination with some mario-ing. if you're looking to chillax for a couple of hours to the sweet sounds of nintendo, and the sweeter smells of food, this could be the right place for you. and i like company while i bake. which can be read: someone needs to peel the apples. i don't think i've ever made a pie before. a pie-cake. or cake-pie. whatever. but an all-by-myself pie? nope. maybe i could make a pumpkin pie... well, this could be getting crazy.
i may be getting slightly stirred on, no pun intended, because my house is f'ing freezing. it's so cold that the butter i left out this morning, is still hard. i need (to get ian) to take out the a/c from my window so i can close it completely. i refuse to turn on the heat for the 3 hours i'm home before bed, because it's not going to make a difference before i turn it off for bed anyway. maybe i should get a timer. in fact, that would probably solve the entire problem.
tonight i met up with a friend for greek. greek food, that is. it is soooo nice when you meet up with people you haven't seen in a while. yay! we talked about many many things, including: boys (hrmmm), jobs (alright), and butter on a peanut butter sandwich with homemade raspberry jam (good). all over a couple glasses of nice chardonney.
also, yesterday at the theatre, we saw lots of previews (of course). movies i want to see: bridget jones, edge of reason; ladder 49 (hells yeah!); meet the fockers. oh, and there's a movie called "i heart____" <- i forget what they heart, but i thought it was very funny.
