first day

today was my first of work at my new job.

the first 30-45 mins were spent having a tour and meeting everyone. literally everyone. there are over a hundred people working there. if they happened to be in a meeting when we came around, we went back. it's kinda cool to do that, but i don't know anyone's names yet. oh, wait. i know a michael and a sven... everyone else i can't remember.

after the meet and greet, i emailed, and checked blogs. then i met with one lady for about an hour to go over systems. then i read some papers for a bit, had lunch, did some training with sven, and then did some work and got to go home early.

bad news? it's end quarter so i've been told that any plans i had for friday need to be cancelled. but that's not really so bad... end quarter only happens four times a year.

so far, everyone is nice and friendly.
